Initial sessions start on the ground with a view to resolving any leading or handling challenges through a relationship-focussed approach. This starts with an assessment of your horse or pony and discussion of any goals you may have. The focus is on building a positive relationship on the ground through developing a language that can be used to build trust and respect. I will show you how the communication you and your horse develop on the ground can be directly transferred to the saddle to achieve harmony, balance and resolution to any ridden issues your have been facing.
If you are a family working together with a pony, parents are invited to be as involved as much as possible in the session because you can play a significant role in the training of your pony.
Every session is different dependent on the goals, challenges and needs of the student and, of course, the horse or pony!

When lessons are used in combination with studying resources on the Think Like a Pony Club website, in most cases only one or two sessions per month are needed.

Private lesson costs:
1 hour - £65
1.5 hour - £90
Full day rate - £250

Shared lesson costs:
Sharing a lesson is a great way to share costs at the same time as adding value to your session by inviting the opportunity to learn from another student - pony combo! For each additional student, an overall lesson cost will be increased by 25%.

Workshop / clinic day rate: £95 per person.

I aim to keep additional travel costs to a minimum, but in some cases these may apply.

Costs
I appreciate that there are those who need support with critical training issues or relationship breakdown, who cannot afford the cost of sessions. I offer a subsidised session programme, whereby I offer sessions at a 50% reduced rate to individuals who are not able to afford the cost of sessions, but are in desperate need of help. I only take on one client at a time to this subsidised programme and it is only available in certain areas. If you need critical help, if your safety or the welfare of your horse is being affected by the challenges you are stuggling with, but you cannot afford the cost of sessions, contact me directly at sophie@thinklikeapony.co.uk
